Wyevale Garden Centres buy Barton Grange, Bolton |

The reason for the sale Guy Topping said "This decision has been many months in the making but we have finally concluded that the best way forward for our business is to concentrate our efforts on the further development of our larger garden centre near Preston. I have been personally involved with Barton Grange Bolton from the very beginning, even helping to build the garden centre. I would like to thank all the staff at Bolton and the many loyal customers who have contributed to its success during our years there." It is expected that the garden centre will be renamed Bolton Garden Centre though Wyevale Garden Centres have yet to confirm that. The Barton Grange Bolton website home page has a large banner on it announcing the sale. The Bolton branch of Barton Grange first opened in 2008 and was brand new costing £12 million to build. It was on the site of of a marina in Brock. |
