The story of Frosts Willington Garden Centre goes back to 1904 when Isaac Godber moved from Kempston to Willington and he bought the land where the current garden is situated and set up a nursery.
The plants sold at all Frosts garden centres come with a generous five year hardy plant guarantee which is a good indicator of their quality. Frosts don't grow their own plants but they all looked very healthy. The outside area has wide paths with a solid surface so it's easy to get round the area. Plant group signs are large so it's easy to find where particular plants are. GBC have a large space to sell their top quality garden building, sheds and conservatories.
The inside sales area is relatively modern and they sell a very large range of gardening items, gifts, cards and the ever popular garden and conservatory furniture. Clothes, a cookshop, books and lots more are all on display.
The cafe at the Willington Garden Centre is up to the usual quality of other Frosts cafes. The food is prepared and cooked on the premises and the quality is clear warranting the slightly higher than normal prices. They serve full meals, snack meals, cakes drinks and in the morning, very tasty breakfast meals.
