CAFE REVIEW
QUALITY OF FOOD
The quality of the food was acceptable at Garsons garden Centre cafe although the prices (see next
further down) were higher than we would expect.
DECOR AND SEATING
Garsons Garden Centre cafe decor is definitely a bit drab. The bare
exposed metal beam ceiling is in the cafe and the inside area
furnishing are plastic and simply boring. It looks like a
refurbishment is overdue.
There is also an outside seating area which is rather narrow,
neither area has attractive views.
SERVICE
The service was pleasant but not prompt. All the main meals were
served from the counter so the wait should have been minimal but it
all seemed to take longer than it should, not only for us but for
others we observed.
THE PRICES
As far as prices go main meals are priced in the range £7 to £10,
five choices were available when we visited one being vegetarian.
Salads are £7 to £8, jacket potatoes £5 to £8 depending on the
filling, sandwiches £4 to £5
CONCLUSION
Reasonably good quality food is spoilt by high prices and very
uninspiring decor.
