Henry Street started out in the horticultural business in 1902 at a rose nursery in Woking. In 1985 the family moved the business to its current site in Arborfield. It's strange that some horticultural names are not well known by the public and this is the case with Henry Street. They grow more roses than anyone else in the south of England - annually they grow nearly 100,000 roses in 350 varieties.
With so many roses being grown on site it is no wonder that the speciality plant at the Henry Street Garden Centre is the rose. Tip top condition and unrivalled choice are two phrases which come to mind. Of course they also stock a good range of other plants, trees and shrubs.
The interior sales area sticks mainly to gardening items. They also stock a very large range of garden furniture of all types, they have a particularly large choice of Kettler metal garden furniture. Barbecues and bid feeds and accessories are fully featured.
The cafe serves coffees, teas, snacks, cakes, light meals and breakfasts (up to 11.00am) throughout the days. They have inside and outside seating areas.
The cafe at Henry Street was given a five star (out of five) rating by the Foods Standard Agency (see here). The last inspection date was October 2013.
