Hopwood Garden Centre first started in business over 30 years ago. They are really a plants nursery and originally supplied plants to the wholesale trade. About 15 years ago they switched completely to supplying plants to the retail trade - that's you and me! They are a small garden centre but have their own car park.
They grow their own plants on site cutting down transport costs and making them able to supply quality plants at low prices. Hopwood Garden Centre grow a full range of plants and are open all year round. They do specialise in summer and winter baskets and bedding plants as well as Japanese Maples.
The staff are very approachable, helpful and knowledgeable - after all they have grown the plants they are selling to you. They also sell composts, pots and a small range of gardening goods. This is a real working nursery in the traditional sense so feel free to visit them and ask all the questions you want about the suitability of various plants for your garden.
